Jack Williams

Pianist Jack has always experienced a strong connection with music. He started playing drums at four years old and has been playing the piano since the age of nine, taking ABRSM classical piano and music theory grades before studying jazz. He likes to juxtapose extroversion and introspection, thoughtfulness and playfulness. He has recently obtained a Master’s degree in Jazz music, awarded with Distinction from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, previously studying on the Contemporary World Jazz course run at Truro College by the University of Plymouth, where he achieved the highest score in his year.

These studies compliment his rich collection of musical experiences, which includes performances at Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Cafe (in support of Kurt Rosenwinkel), The Ned and The Southbank Centre, exchanging with some of the contemporary jazz greats. He has lead and co-lead a few groups over the years, attempting to be creative and harness his originality in the composing of original music as well as the interpretation of existing tunes.

Jack also worked on cruise ships for many years, performing on Carnival, Holland America and Viking line.
